The design for Cotton Cottage was a breakaway from its standard branding and design which had determined the style and feel for its branches across India.

This flagship store heralded a paradigm shift for the business with its positioning in a premier shopping mall in Navi Mumbai.

Rich color palettes representing Indian heritage were chosen to couple with minimalist furniture. Arches which are ubiquitous to Indian architecture were used to define the crowns to merchandise storage.

Details for suspension of apparel and embellishments on furniture were experimented upon with this project alongside appropriate lighting methodology.

Discarded printing blocks were repurposed to form an unique sculpture which subtly reminds people of the hand woven , embroidered and dyed nature of the fabrics in the store. The printing blocks carry the indelible heritage of Indian block printing styles such as Ajrakh.
